      Updated March 10, 2023

    • School Approval

Barney Fletcher Schools is approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission (the Commission) to offer distance education real estate courses offered through the internet (online). Barney Fletcher Schools offers distance education courses in partnership with Mbition, the developer of the course(s). The School Code issued by the Commission is 6994. The school renews its approval with the Commission every 4 years on December 31.

The administrative offices of Barney Fletcher Schools are located at 3200 Cobb Galleria Parkway, Suite 290, Atlanta, Georgia, 30339 (known as our "Galleria 75" location). You may access directions to all of our classroom locations at www.barneyfletcher.com. The school's phone number is 770-850-9090. The fax number is 678-505-8688. The administrative office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. As noted below, you may contact the school with questions about the subject content of your course by emailing one of our instructors.

Each Mbition distance education course offered by Barney Fletcher Schools is approved under the regulations of the Commission. The Commission has authorized each course for a specific number of credit hours. You may finish the course in less time than the hours approved, or you may find that the course requires more time than actually approved for the course. The school will give credit only for the hours authorized by the Commission for the specific course that you are taking. No partial credit will be given. Each distance education course offered through Barney Fletcher Schools is complete in itself. Our online continuing education courses do not require that you attend any classroom hours. However, you will be required to take a proctored examination at a school location for Real Estate pre-license (Broker) and post-license courses.

      Non-Discrimination Policy

Barney Fletcher Schools does not base course fees, entrance standards, or standards for successful completion of any course on a student's race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, or familial status.

      Refund Policy

Barney Fletcher Schools operates with a no-refund policy. However, a student enrolled in an online course may request a refund for the cost of the course within 7 days of the date of enrollment. The school will process a refund only to the student enrolled in the course, not to any other party. When purchases are made with a credit card, any refunds will be returned to that card. Any student who has a returned check due to insufficient funds or a closed account will be assessed a $30 charge by the school.

      Instructors

Barney Fletcher Schools utilizes a number of instructors approved under the regulations of the Commission. If you have questions regarding the content or subject area of your course, you may email your question to Barney Fletcher Schools at contact@barneyfletcher.com. One of our instructors will reply to you as soon as possible, usually no later than two business days from the date of your email message.

We will need to know what type of computer you are using, the operating system you are using, the version number of your software, etc. Your call may be document or monitored to help maintain quality of service standards.

      System Requirements

      • Display: 1024 x 768 resolution or greater required
      • Sound: Speakers or headphones may be required for some courses

      Course Requirements

Each distance education course requires that you complete a certain number of learning modules including instructional text, quizzes, chapter tests, matching exercises or other learning activities. No final examinations or any written assessments are required for continuing education courses. In order for Barney Fletcher Schools to certify that you have completed a course, you must:

      • complete all instructional lessons in the course by answering each question correctly at least twice
      • complete any online or paper homework or exercise required by the course
      • return the signed and dated Course and Assignment Certification Statement located at the end of the course
      • pass any required course final examination at an approved school location.

      Course Final Examinations

The Commission requires that a student successfully pass a proctored final examination for each broker pre-license (60 hours), or sales post license (25 hour) course. Barney Fletcher Schools requires that you answer correctly a minimum of 72% of the total questions on the Post-License final examination to pass the course, and 70% of the total questions on the Broker final examination. No proctored final examination is required for any continuing education course.
You may take a course final examination only after completing all other requirements for a course and only after the school has received your affidavit and survey. You must contact a school administrator to schedule a final examination. *Examinations for distance education courses are administered at our testing center at the Galleria/75 school location in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesdays at 9:00am, Thursdays at 12:30pm, and Friday at 9:00am. Course examinations may not be administered at any other site without the prior authorization of the School Director.

*Due to COVID-19, we are not currently offering onsite testing. Course exams are currently set to be taken online with a disinterested 3rd party proctor.

If you do not pass the course final examination, Barney Fletcher Schools will provide you at no charge an opportunity to pass a second, separate examination. You must score a minimum of 72% on Post-License exam, or 70% on the Broker final exam to pass the second examination. If you do not pass the second exam, the Commission requires that you retake the course a second time. The school will provide you a discount for the second course.

      Credit for Duplicate Courses

Commission regulations state that a real estate licensee who has successfully completed an approved continuing education course to meet any part of the continuing education requirement may not repeat that course for credit unless one full year has passed since the completion of the course.

      Time Limit

Barney Fletcher Schools requires that you complete any course within 180 days of your enrollment date. The school may grant an extension for a student who experiences unforeseen hardship or difficulty in completing the course within that time. You must contact a course administrator to request an extension of your course before the end of your 180 days. The school and/or the course provider require(s) a fee to extend your course completion deadline. The fee extends your course for a 60-day period and you may purchase as many as 3 extensions. In order for you to retain knowledge and pass course examinations, the school recommends that you complete the course requirements as soon as possible, no later than 180 days from your enrollment date. You must contact a school administrator at 770-850-9090 to request an extension before your completion deadline. Extensions will be denied if requested later than 180 days from your purchase date.

      Course Completion Records

Barney Fletcher Schools will submit your successful completion of a course to the Commission (for Real Estate post license and continuing education courses) through secure internet transmission programs. Normally the school does not issue paper course completion certificates. If you require a paper certificate from the school for another state's requirements or some other purpose, you must contact a school administrator prior to your completing the course.
